Amy Belle Lake
Richfield Township
Amy Bele Lake was named after the oldest daughter of A.H. Hadfield sometime after 1887 and before 1892. The lake is located in section 25 in the Township of Richfield, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA on its east border and a mile and a half north of its south border.
By 1892 a railroad line was located to its west and where the line crossed Bark Lake Road was located Beechwood Crossing. It is at this point the train would stop to load and unload passengers only as this was not a station. This would happen in the summer when residents in Waukesha and Milwaukee would come to the lakes on their vacation.
