First Presbyterian Church of Richfield
Richfield Township

Reverend John Beck, an ordained Presbyterian minister, served St. Jacobi Church in the early years. As time went on and more ministers became available, there were some in the congregation who objected to having a Presbyterian Minister. Reverend Berk and some members of the congregation left and organized the First Presbyterian Church of Richfield.

First Elders were Adam Youngbluth and Frederick Ebling. First deacons were Michael Held and Carl Lohr.

Initial services were held in the home of the Frank Wittenberger family. Land was later donated by the Wittenbergers with members clearing the land, lumber sawed, and on this land the first frame church was built. This was in the year 1862.

The present church address cannot be determined.
