In 1843 the spiritual community was ministered to by Reverend M. Hauert of Milwaukee. The services occurring infrequently were held in individuals' homes. The congregation was officially recognized in 1852. The first log church was constructed at the site of the Cedar Park Cemetery south of Rugby Junction. In 1898 the congregation decided to build a might closer to Richfield and purchased property from William Laubenheimer. The present church address is 1786 Highway 175, Richfield.
