This portal identifies the Catholic baptismal registrations recorded in the books of The Cathedral of St. Peter the Apostle in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA by Reverend Michael Heiss. This covers the period 1844-1846 when he was assigned as missionary priest to the area north and northwest of Milwaukee. At the time this was Washington County (Towns Nine thru Twelve), now Washington and Ozaukee Counties.

Also included are some of the early registrations (1846-1854) recorded for parishes located in Washington County of today and parishes located in the parish books now located in Ozaukee County. For example, a baptism which occurred in St. Augustine but was recorded in the parish books of St. Francis Xavier in the town of Grafton.

St. Francis Xavier - Baptismal registrations to 1855 were transcriptions of the original registrations. They are in the penmanship of one individual even though various priests administered the actual sacraments. Several Reverend Heiss registrations are included.
