John emigrated at age 23 departing on Thursday, 28 September 1876 on the ship Nürnberg leaving Bremen and arriving in Baltimore. Accompanying Baptist John was his wife Barbara and infant son George. He was listed on the ship's manifest as Baptist Kuchenreuther. In 1877, John Baptist married Barbara Elisabeth Ott. John died, at the age of 59 years, on Thursday, 24 October 1912 at hone in Milwaukee.1,4,5 He is buried in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Milwaukee.5,4 The burial location is in Block 14, Lot 131, N 1/2. St. Michael identifies burial on 28 October 1912 and death on the 25th.
